On October 3rd 2006, the Tropical House was officially dedicated to the memory and activities of Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Starmühlner. During an official ceremony, his wife Edith Starmühlner and vice-mayor Grete Laska revealed the memorial plaque placed in the entry area.
