Upon receipt of the ticket order, the contract comes into force. By this the purchaser has the obligation to immediately pay the fee indicated to him/her on the website for the tickets of the corresponding category. Payment is carried out by credit card in advance.
After a successful transaction, an email will be sent to the email address provided by the purchaser, containing a list of the ordered tickets, their prices, and an online ticket number. Another email with the ordered tickets (PDF attachment) will be sent directly (for online tickets) or after 1 hour (for vouchers) to the email address provided by the purchaser.
Booking a time slot is available since June 13, 2023: The time slot is reserved for the booked 15 minutes. In case of delay or no-show, the tickets remain valid, but the Fast Lane access is forfeited, and the customer must join the regular queue. Time slots that have already started are no longer available for booking. Zoo tickets with time slots can be booked up to 2 months in advance.
For the first 24 months following the purchase date, HAUS DES MEERES guarantees that the tickets can be redeemed without a surcharge; for the following years any difference there may be between the price paid in advance and the price for the ticket of the corresponding category as stated on the table of prices at HAUS DES MEERES and/or on the HAUS DES MEERES website at the time the ticket is picked up has to be additionally paid.
HAUS DES MEERES is entitled, but not obligated, to additionally check the identity and the correctness of the visitors’ ticket category to be redeemed (if necessary, by inspecting official photo ID). The purchaser is responsible for any forwarding of the order number/online ticket number carried out by the purchaser him/herself and cannot make any claims against HAUS DES MEERES in this respect.

The purchaser shall agree to occasionally receiving information material from the business; in this respect, his/her data will be used confidentially and in accordance with the provisions of the law on data protection. Unless mandatory statutory regulations to the contrary exist, in particular such regulations pertaining to consumer law in the case of a contract concluded with a consumer, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this agreement shall be the court competent for such cases in 1060 Wien (Vienna). Tickets for cultural events with fixed dates are exclusively valid on the day of the event.
The order of such tickets is binding and cannot be cancelled.

If the card is not shown, the Purchaser must pay back the previously granted discount. The Purchaser is responsible for any forwarding of the order number carried out by the Purchaser him/herself and cannot make any claims against HAUS DES MEERES in this respect.
Unless mandatory statutory regulations to the contrary exist, in particular such regulations pertaining to consumer law in the case of a contract concluded with a consumer, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this agreement shall be the court competent for such cases in 1060 Wien (Vienna). Unless mandatory statutory regulations to the contrary exist, 1060 Wien shall also be the place of fulfilment.

Terms and conditions for entering a prize draw
1. Prize draw and organiser
The organiser of the online prize draw (hereinafter referred to a “Prize Draw”) is Haus des Meeres Betriebs GmbH, Fritz-Grünbaum-Platz 1, 1060 Wien (hereinafter referred to as “HAUS DES MEERES”). Participation in the Prize Draw depends on the following guidelines.
2. Entry eligibility
Eligible for participation are persons with residence in Austria who are at least 18 years of age at the time of participation. Younger persons may also take part with the consent of their parents. Staff of Haus des Meeres Zoo or Betriebs GmbH and their family members may not enter the Prize Draw. Participation by means of automated data processing processes and/or by means of including third parties is excluded.
Entering the draw is only possible during the specified period. Entry into the Prize Draw is free of charge.
To enter the draws the participant must meet the mentioned conditions.
HAUS DES MEERES cannot be made responsible for late and/or incomplete entries. Exceptions only apply if erroneous postings are not corrected in time.
3. Implementation and processing of prizes
Only the prizes mentioned in the posting are drawn. After the closing date of the specified period, a winner will be chosen by random selection.
The winner will be drawn by the mentioned date and contacted.
The winner will be asked to send a private message to HAUS DES MEERES containing contact details. The data will not be disclosed on the HAUS DES MEERES account. Personal data will not be stored for commercial purposes.
The claim to the prize is non-assignable and non-transferable. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-extensible and non-redeemable for cash. In the event that the original prize offered is not available, for whatever reason, HAUS DES MEERES retains the right to substitute the prize with another prize of similar value.
TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube and Instagram are in no way connected with the Prize Draw and are not available as contact partners.
4. Exclusion
In the event of a violation of the terms of entering the Prize Draw, HAUS DES MEERES reserves the right to exclude entrants from it. Also, HAUS DES MEERES reserves the right to exclude entrants from the Prize Draw, who use unauthorised aids or other types of manipulation to gain advantages. This would be the case if automatic scripts, hacking tools, Trojan code or virus software were used. Furthermore, incorrect personal data and the use of fake profiles can lead to exclusion. In such cases, prizes can be recalled and/or reclaimed.
5. Early termination and/or suspension of the Prize Draw
HAUS DES MEERES is entitled to cancel the Prize Draw early on, suspend it or change it. In these cases, the participants of the Prize Draw shall not be entitled to assert any claims against HAUS DES MEERES. This particularly concerns technical problems or cases in which an orderly implementation of the Prize Draw cannot be ensured due to legal reasons.

7. Final provisions
Redress through the courts is excluded. Austrian law shall exclusively apply, excluding any reference to a foreign legal system.
Tickets for and in the context of special events with fixed dates are exclusively valid on the day of the event. Tickets can be cancelled free of charge up to 5 working days prior to the event. We accept a notice of cancellation sent by e-mail; this can be sent informally, without having to state reasons, however by including order name, online ticket number (see ordering e-mail) and date. In the case of cancellation, the paid amount shall be immediately transferred back into the account of the payer – no cash repayment.
Upon receipt of the ticket(s) order, the contract on the purchase of the ticket(s) comes into force. By this the Purchaser shall have the obligation to immediately pay the fee stated on the website for the ticket(s) of the corresponding category. Payment is carried out by credit card in advance.
After successful transaction, an e-mail is sent to the e-mail address provided by the Purchaser, which includes a list of the ordered ticket(s), their fee and an online ticket number.
A further e-mail with the ordered tickets (attached PDF file) is sent to the e-mail address provided by the Purchaser around one hour after successfully completing the order. The tickets must be printed out to be redeemed. HAUS DES MEERES is entitled, but not obligated, to additionally check the identity and the correctness of the visitors’ ticket category to be redeemed (if necessary by inspecting official photo ID). The Purchaser is responsible for any forwarding of the order number/online ticket number carried out by the Purchaser him/herself and cannot make any claims against HAUS DES MEERES in this respect.
